Catalonia's best know places for climbing are on it's magnificent peaks, including Pic d'estats (3,143); the highest in Catalonia, Canigó, Puigmal, Besiberris, Mulieres and Montardo. Other climbing areas are: Montsec; with the Terradets, Vilanova de Meià and Mont-rebei tracks, or Collegats gorge, the Oliana Reservoir, Pedraforca, and the mountains of El Cadí. Bird Watching/Ornithological tourism in the Catalonia Pyrenees. Due to it's geographical location, and great variety of landscapes and habitats, Catalonia has the best range of bird life on all the peninsular, with 95% of Iberia's and 50% of the whole Palearctic's recorded bird species. The areas most popular birds are the Lammergeier, Black Woodpecker, Wallcreeper, Bonelli's Eagle, Lesser Grey Shrike, Dupont's Lark, Little Bustard, Pin-tailed Sandgrouse, Audouin's Gull and Lesser Crested tern.
